We’re continuing our Harvesting Hope series. Our goal with these posts is to help you find missions and organizations in our area and our state that are working to meet needs around them. By partnering with these missions, we can share the blessings we’ve been given to help others.
This week, we want to feature an organization that has been near to our heart for a long time: Women’s Protective Services of Lubbock. We shared about this organization in August, when we sold tickets to their fundraising dinner and drawing. We’d like to tell you a little more about this organization.
Women’s Protective Services of Lubbock is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that specializes in advocacy for women, men, and children who have experienced domestic violence. WPS has been serving Lubbock and its surrounding communities since 1978.
This is a particularly relevant time to support WPS, because October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. You can help to prevent domestic violence, support those who have experienced it, and raise awareness of it by partnering with WPS of Lubbock. See ways you can make a difference with WPS here.
We’ll be sharing more missions you can partner with each week. Make sure you don’t miss out - sign up to be on our newslist here.
