Luke 24: 1-8 “But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5 And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.”

Growing up, every time the church doors were open, the Hurst family was in attendance at the Methodist Church in Lorenzo, TX. Faith has always been, and will always be a very large part of Joe Hurst’s life, and also play a large role in how he now runs his business, as well as how he treats his employees. Joe and Christy currently attend church at Experience Life in Lubbock, TX where they continue their walk with the Lord, and continue to stay involved with a community of believers.

Being saved and accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age helped raise Joe Hurst to live his life for the Lord. He will tell you “God has blessed me in many ways. Such as a mom, dad, and five brothers that believed in Jesus and a wonderful wife, who puts up with me, two fantastic boys that have taken the role as spiritual leaders of their families, and two beautiful daughter-in-laws that teach my six grandchildren about Jesus.”

Hurst Farm Supply started in 1955, and has since grown into a 7-store dealership, that employs over 120 people. Joe will tell you “as far as business goes, we have been very blessed. We pray for and cherish all our employees and customers. All the glory for our success belongs to God, not us.”

“Easter is about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and the resurrection from the grave,” Joe believes. Which is why on this Easter Sunday, all of us at Hurst Farm Supply would love to wish you a very Happy Easter, and we hope you enjoy an Easter service of your choice this beautiful weekend! May God bless you all!
